Review: Kiramoon Star Jelly Mask & Flowermelon Serum

I’m a sucker for anything cute and pink, but if it’s not actually effective there’s no point! Luckily, that’s not the case with Kiramoon.

Kiramoon products are vegan, fragrance-free, cruelty-free, and (obviously) adorable! With every purchase from Kiramoon, a portion of proceeds go to Bring Change to Mind - a non-profit working toward ending the stigma around mental illnesses.

FLOWERMELON

This 3-in-1 serum ($36 for 2.02 fl oz.) features key ingredients including:

  • Hyaluronic Acid (in the form of Sodium Hyaluronate)

  • 5% Glycolic

  • Niacinamide

  • Melon Fruit Extract

  • Banana Flower Extract

  • Chamomile Flower Extract

  • Aloe Vera Juice

You’ll notice that Sodium Hyaluronate is listed, which is a member of the Hyaluronic Acid family. This is made with a smaller molecule, allowing it to penetrate and absorb into your skin at a deeper level!

The lightweight water-gel texture doesn’t feel heavy on your skin and absorbs quickly. Though there are no added or synthetic fragrances in the serum, it smells like sweet melon without being overpowering! Kiramoon recommends using a few drops on your face and neck morning and night, daily.

I’ve been using this for about a month now and have been loving the results! Specifically - I’ve noticed my skin looks brighter after applying, and I have less texture in my T-zone and on my cheeks. My skin feels more plump and looks less irritated than it has with other AHA products. As always, make sure you’re using SPF during the day after applying this!

STAR JELLY

This 4-in-1 mask ($45 for 1.69 fl oz.) contains a powerhouse of ingredients to buff away dead skin cells:

  • 10% AHA

  • Niacinamide

  • Hyaluronic Acid

  • Passion Fruit Seed Oil

  • Cactus Flower Extract

  • Sweet Almond Oil

Absolutely love the texture and application of this mask, which can be easily applied with their cute application brush. Kiramoon recommends applying an even layer to clean skin, gently massaging for 20 seconds before leaving it on for 20-30 minutes.

This scent is a little different from Flowermelon, and has more notes of vanilla, but is also free from added and synthetic fragrances. Use their adorable heart mirror ($18) to help you apply, 2-3 times per week or whenever you need a boost!

All in all, this is a brand definitely worth your attention! I can’t wait to see what else they release in the future.
